Telegram autopilot readiness and test
Understand the readiness checklist of an AI bot that follows a Telegram channel, what the platform repairs by itself, how alerts work, and how to test a post safely.
Availability: Telegram signal channels and AI (agentic) bots are gated features. They stay off until your plan, your account and the platform launch gates all allow them. Your dashboard is the source of truth for what your account can actually use today.
When an AI bot follows a Telegram channel, one question matters: if the channel posts right now, will the post reach this bot? The readiness checklist answers it, and the channel test lets you prove it without risking anything.
To link an account and add channels in the first place, see Agentic settings, Telegram channels and limits.
Where to find it
- On the bot card: a badge β Telegram ready, Telegram: self-healing or Telegram: needs attention.
- On the bot page: open the Integrations tab. The section Telegram autopilot readiness lists every check in the order a post travels, with Re-check and, where it applies, Fix now.
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ready | Posts from the followed channels reach this bot |
| Self-healing | Something is off that the platform repairs on its own within minutes |
| Needs attention | At least one check needs an action from you |
What each check means
| Check | In plain words | If it fails |
|---|---|---|
| Telegram trading available | The platform-wide switch for Telegram signals is on | Nothing you can do; it returns when the platform enables it again |
| Telegram account connected | Your linked Telegram account is signed in and reading | Reconnect it under Settings β Agentic β Telegram |
| Channel reading in sync | Reading is not paused after a gap (a restart or a lost connection) | Usually repaired automatically; otherwise resume it in the Telegram tab |
| Channel linked to this bot | The bot follows at least one channel that is not paused | Link a channel, or un-pause the one you paused |
| Channel allowed for AI reading | You approved the channel's posts being read by your AI provider | Confirm the channel under Settings β Agentic β Telegram |
| Bot running | The bot is started | Start the bot |
| Trading consent armed | The permission you gave the bot to trade on its own is current | An older permission is upgraded automatically; a paused one needs you to resume it |
| Bot configuration up to date / Agentic settings valid | The bot's settings are complete and consistent | Missing values are filled in automatically; also make sure your signal source includes Telegram |
| AI model available | The model chosen to read posts exists at your provider and you have a key for it | A retired model is replaced automatically; a missing key needs you to add one |
| Monthly AI allowance | This month's AI allowance is not used up | Raise the allowance or wait for next month |
| Daily AI budget | Today's AI budget for the bot is not used up | Wait for the reset at 00:00 UTC; budget held by failed attempts is released automatically |
| Live trading permitted | For live bots only: every live-trading switch is on | Review your live-trading setup; see Paper trading vs live crypto trading |
| Posts being processed | Posts are flowing β no post has been waiting for more than 15 minutes | Work through the lines above it, then use Re-check |
What the platform repairs by itself
Every few minutes the platform goes through the checklist of each bot and repairs what it safely can:
- resumes channel reading after a gap,
- upgrades an older trading permission to the current one, within the consent you already gave,
- fills in missing settings,
- replaces a retired AI model with the provider's current default,
- releases AI budget held by failed attempts.
Fix now does the same immediately instead of waiting for the next round.
What it never repairs by itself
- A stopped bot. Only you start a bot.
- A channel you paused. Your pause is respected until you lift it.
- A missing provider key. Only you can add a key.
These follow a choice you made, so they are shown for your information and do not raise repeated alerts.
Alerts
When something stays blocked for 15 minutes, you can be notified. Under Settings β Notifications, open a notification channel and enable these two events:
- Telegram Autopilot Needs Attention β a bot's checklist has been blocked for 15 minutes.
- Telegram Autopilot Recovered β the same bot is ready again.
Warnings are sent at most once per hour for the same problem.
Do not confuse the two Telegram features. The platform's outgoing Telegram notifications (messages the platform sends to you) are a separate feature. Reading signal channels works without it, and switching one on or off does not affect the other.
Test a post: "Test this channel β bots"
Below the checklist, the test lets you paste or type a post as if the channel had just published it. You then see:
- how the AI reads it β as a trading signal, or as commentary that every bot ignores;
- what each linked bot would do, and why β every bot that follows the channel gets its own line, because the answer depends on what that bot holds.
| A bot would⦠| Typical reason |
|---|---|
| Ignore it | The post is commentary, or nothing in it applies to this bot |
| Sell part of the position | The bot holds the coin and the post takes partial profit |
| Close the position | The bot holds the coin and the post closes the trade |
| Move its stop | The bot holds the coin and the post raises the stop |
| Analyse the coin | The bot does not hold the coin, so it would run an AI analysis of it |
| Open a position | The post is a complete entry signal |
The test is safe by design:
- it places no order and queues nothing,
- it posts nothing to Telegram,
- it costs at most 0.01 USD of your AI allowance,
- it is limited to 5 tests per hour.
FAQ
The badge says "self-healing". Do I need to do anything? No. Wait a few minutes or use Fix now. If it turns into "needs attention", open the checklist and follow the line that failed.
Fix now said nothing needed fixing, but a check is still red. That check needs an action from you β for example starting the bot, un-pausing a channel or adding a provider key.
Everything is green, but the bot did nothing with a real post. Ready means the post reaches the bot, not that the bot must act. Paste the same post into the test to see the reason, and read Why didn't my AI bot trade?.
Will the test move my real or paper positions? No. It is a dry run and never places an order.
Do I need to set up Telegram notifications for channel reading to work? No. They are separate features.
Are posts published during a gap traded later? No. Posts received while reading was paused are kept for review and are never traded.
